A Place Where Stories are told!

I bought this little bar from a friend who needed a hand — and, well, I’ve always liked Bree Street. If you know me, you’ll know I can’t sit still for long and I’m always up for a makeover and a new adventure.

First up was the name change. Hanks was a beautiful bar, full of character, but it was time for some love, attention, and a fresh identity. New owners, new energy, new name.

Story Horse just felt right.

“What’s the Story, Horse?” is an old Irish saying — a way of greeting an old friend you haven’t seen in a while. It’s that friendly “What’s been happening?” moment, and while I might once have said China, the Irish call each other Horses.

I never realised how deeply horses are woven into Irish culture and heritage. They’re proud of breeding some of the world’s finest — the Irish Thoroughbred.

Did I mention I once owned a racehorse called Calista Firth? Those were wild, exciting days with the Snaith Brothers.
